I am an enabler!

My nieces seem to like playing with my scrapbooking stuff! Now my other niece is into it.

I got up at 3am to go to black Friday Wal-mart! My sister went with me and she hadn't been to bed yet. We got there and the line was zigzag down the side of the building and up the side of the parking lot and around the front of the building too! We started just at the end of the building. They started letting people in a few at a time at about 4 am. You could get your items but nothing could be rung up til 5am. They then had all the registers open. I only went for my mother as she is in Lancaster PA to pick up my niece's Christmas present that she knows about. She wanted a CRICUT expression electronic cutting machine like I have. The deal was one that you didn't want to pass up. My niece and my other sister are in Canada visiting family there so they couldn't go either. I came back home and got about three hours of sleep maybe before waking back up then my niece calls me from Canada to see if I got it! She is all excited! She doesn't get it til Christmas though! Thank you Denise for keeping me company

Retirement pages

The librarian that is in the school system where my mother works and that we have had in school is retiring in December. Someone is creating a memory type book for her and having everyone do a page or two to put in it.  We have gone to NYC several times over the years with her as they have always planned bus trips for day trips every year. My mother, myself, my two sisters and my two nieces all wanted to do these pages so I created and everyone has signed. I used buttons from Jessie James, smooch ink in pumpkin, gold lame, and moonlight, Dusty concord distress ink, Bobbin brand ribbon, little jewel things, and a pattern for the lady liberty from scrappydew.com  http://scrappydew.com/Store/ScrappyJuly4th/  that I cut with SCAL. The pictures that were used were taken in NYC also.My niece Tiffany helped me to write something up for it.

Freebie from doing a survey

I so love freebies and am the freebie queen! I can talk a drug rep into giving all kinds of things!:) I did a scrapbooking survey about a month or so ago and they said that the first 100 people would get a prize package from Colorbok. They then sent an Email saying that their survey site messed up and could we fill it in all over again and they would give a layout packet also for our time! I did it again and never gave it another thought! Today my husband tells me while I am at work that I have a package so I start thinking if I ordered anything and thought NOPE! I came home to a surprise of a box with a complete scrapbook kit English Meadow theme with:1 12x12 postbound album, 1 idea guide, 24 12x12 patterned papers, 658 accent stickers, 318 punch out accents, 34 chipboard accents;Blue Skies Designer Layout package with: 4 12x12 grid papers, 18 square accents, 34 raw chipboard alphas, and 17 glitter punchouts including photo template! I am not sure the retail on this but I would guess approximately a $40.00 value and is a great freebie!:) HPIM1144
